How did the time change go over at your house?

Event: Changing the clocks back one hour, on Saturday night
We were sitting at home getting ready for dinner and watching the local news, when the reporters reminded everyone that it was time to change back the clocks...
Thomas: Mommy why do we have to change the clocks?
Me: Because it is no longer daylight savings time.
Allyson: What is daylight savings time?
M:It is when we spring forward and it stays lighter at night time.
T: Can I help change the clocks?
A: Me too.
So we go around the house and change all the clocks...
At around 8pm...
A & T: Is it time for bed I am sleepy?
M: Yes it is bed time.
Sunday morning at 5:30am...Allyson and Thomas come into our bedroom....Mommy is it time to wake up? It's not dark morning anymore....they open the blinds...see the sun woke up!
Rule 1 in our house: You stay in your bed until the sun wakes up or your alarm clock starts singing.

Funny! My son likes to wake up in the wee hours of the morning - sun or no sun. I think I'm having a harder time with the adjustment than the kids, I went to bed at the old time, woke up at the old time, which means I'm waking up too early!

Time change works better without the little ones! It actually went okay with Makayla this time (although we didn't really "get" an extra hour, we were able to plan accordingly with our sleep). Lossing the hour in the spring is soooo difficult with a child!
